Applications for 2020 AAD Grant

 

Dear  Hellenic Society of Dermatology & Venereology,
We would like to inform you that the application process for the 2020 American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Grant is still open. The application deadline is 29 June 2019. To apply, please first log in on the website, then go to the following page.
WHAT IS THE PRIZE? The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) offers three (3) grants to young dermatologists from Europe to facilitate the attendance of the AAD’s 78th Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado. 20-24 March 2020. The grant includes a stipend of $1,000 USD delivered at the meeting, complimentary registration for the meeting, admission to one postgraduate ticketed session, and an invitation to attend the International Scholarship Recipient Reception and Dinner. This scholarship program is based on reciprocal agreements between the Academy and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
WHO CAN APPLY?
  1. Young dermatovenereologist or resident/trainees under 35 years of age
  2. Must be an EADV Member (please log in with your EADV credentials to apply)
  3. Must not have previously received this grant
  4. Must have adequate knowledge of the English language
  5. Must reside in one of the eligible countries
  6. An applicant can only receive one award (scholarship/grant) per calendar year

Required documentation (in English only)

  • The Grant Application Form completed online
  • A short CV (not more than 3 pages)
  • A list of publications written as explained in the document “How to prepare my publications list” available on the website (please read this document carefully in order to fit into the terms and conditions)
  • A letter of support written by a “Specialist” EADV member endorsing the application
  • A letter of support, written on official headed paper, signed and stamped, written either by the training director/ head of department, hospital or clinic endorsing the application
  • A current copy of the applicant’s training certificate in English indicating the start and end date or specialist certificate
  •  A copy of ID (i.e. identity card, passport) with a passport-size photo
